Removed furniture from room to lay laminate floor and noticed that the wallpaper was showing symptoms of damp in one outside corner of the room just above the skirting board for about 18inches sq, either side of the corner. It was loose in this area and stained but not heavily. As i can gain access below the floors i checked it out down there but could see no evidence of ingress of water or any sign of dampness. My house has a rendered finish and was painted professionally last year so i really don't know the reason for the damp condition in that one corner. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this condition?

Check the guttering in that area to make sure there is not a breakage causing water to run down the wall.
