Wanting to replace some decking as it has rotted away before we moved in.
I've gone through the alternatives and planned on the whole garden being redone. In all honestly it is not that bad. I want the side of the house sorted so i can buy some storage units and then take down the existing old shed and wendy house ready to prepare for new shed (one job leads to another three).
Anyway, the decking runs along the back of house length ways and is not staggered. In short, in looks rubbish. Is there anyway to lay the new decking either diagonal or at right angle to house. Joists are 40cm apart so i'm certain diagonal is out of the question unless some sort of support can be installed (decking support pads ???)
Or could i add extra cross sections using joist hangers for extra support and to fix the boards into if laying at right angle to what is down now.
Dont mind a bit of work and cost but rather not start digging up the grounds and redoing it all. Any other alternatives.. Thanks
