I have a 160Gb Sky+ box and used to be able to get to the engineers menu with the services->system setup->0,1. This doesn't work anymore. Any ideas what the new engineers menu is??? I need to defragment the drive as it's getting 'jumpy' on playback1

Thanks Sam, yes, that is what I was looking for. The Planner rebuild does defragment the HDD, but I cannot access the [services] 401 [select] menu, it must be a problem with my sky+ box as it used to work.
I'll take it up with Sky.

Cheers
There's no such menu. It's called the "Installer Setup Menu" and is accessed by pressing
[services] 401 [select] or
[services] 001 [select] for a Sky+HD Digibox.

I've never heard of "defragment" for a Sky box. Do you mean "Planner Rebuild"?

I also think you got your HDD capacity wrong. It will be 160 GB not 160 Gb.
