I've just moved into my new house and i want to change all the internal doors plus the front door. My only problem is that all the door frames are different sizes.

I assume places like B&Q and homebase etc only do standard size doors?

So would you recommend i buy them from B&Q and plane them down to size or get them tailor made from a timber specialist? (will this be expensive?)

I stay in Glasgow so is there any local timber specialists who are relatively cheap?

what sizes are they? there are several standard sizes

what sort of new doors do you want? flush, panelled, fire resisting, (knotty pine  ) glazed, varnished hardwood, painted? Be aware that thin and hollow doors are very insubstantial and don't block sound.

Are you going to change the door frames/linings? (not very expensive)

I would not buy them from B&Q in any event
