Not sure which Forum to put this.
Item in todays Daily Mail about Radio stations going digital.
Ok I know you can buy digital radios for the home but what happens with the Car radio, I have seen no mention of digital car sets or digi boxes to convert them.
Anyone any ideas? :?:

Thanks for the link gcol.
I wonder when new cars will have them fitted as standard.

A whole new market for the car thief... I guess it needed revitalising.
:D

Many new cars come fitted with them as standard, they look like normal radios, also play mp3 cds

I enquired about a digital car radio last week, when I was in my local installers having my laser gun jammer replaced. They said that most manufacturers have dropped them for the moment due to very poor digital radio coverage. Apparently it is only about 29% coverage.

highly illegal dave, cops wont be too happy with your installer if they find out....or you if they catch you using it.

Actually they are not illegal, yet. It was due to be brought to parliament last November but has been delayed, so it is still legal at present. My old one was even more legal as it was designed to open garage doors automatically.

I get monthly updates on the legal situation via an e-mail newsletter ;)
