Dishwaher will not heat or dry

I bought a new element for a whirlpool dishwasher and it still will not heat or dry. What else should I be checking. How can I check the switch? And if it's the thermostat where would I find it. Please help. This dishwasher has been used very little and is only 2 years old.

I'm assuming this is a tube type heater.
If it's no heat and no error code then it's likely to be the electronic module at fault. Other possibility is the temperature sensor.
