i wonder if anyone can help me,i have a hoover slimline dishwasher which is not washing properly,have since realized there is not any water in the bottom where the salt goes,when it used to!!any ideas??and is that the reason its faulty?

Dishwashers need 3 important ingredients to wash things clean (4 if you count the actual dishes)....Water - Heat - Detergent. If one is missing...no clean dishes. Since you obviously know very little about how a dishwasher functions you may struggle a little with a DIY repair. I would advise you to contact your nearest domestic appliance engineer....or....post the model details on the door sticker & get your trusty toolbox ready.
