Hi can someone please help! The water from my dishwasher hose is coming up over the top of the pipe. I moved the hose so that it was hanging between 2-3 inches into the pipe and that did not work so I moved it further down and it is still not working.

It worked ok until I had a worktop put it and the hose was dislodged out of the pipe, since then I have not been able to get it back into a position where the water does not shoot out over the pipe.

I even tried to cellatape the top top of the hose pipe aroud the pipe but that didn't work!

I can't afford to call a plumber to sort it out and I don't know anyone who is particularly handy!

Thank you!

Sounds like your waste pipe is blocked. What happens to it after it goes through the wall?

First and easiest thing to do is to try clearing it with a drain clearing spring (which will cost under a fiver).

If you're REALLY hard up you could try a piece of that springy stuff they use to put up net curtains, but it's not very robust.
