I want to turn this cherry beam into a mantel. The tree was felled three years ago but has ony been trimmed to size for a month
Trimmed to length it will be 9' x 9" x 9"
I was thinking of making my own kiln out of insulation board and a fan heater. I've seen youtube videos outlining the process, but I've no idea how long it would take to reduce the water content sufficiently
Any experience/ideas/criticisms welcome
