Hi All,

Lots of levelling compound (thats now all cracking!) later I finally have a floor level enough to float my bamboo flooring over.

Having never layed a floating floor before I'm wondering how to proceed - I've just read that its usual to lay boards in the direction of the light, but in my room I'm convinced its going to look beter running the other way - or woud that be a major mistake?

And then - the underlay/DPM - what brand should I look for and from where?

Then the glueing - do I use strap clamps or not, and if so, where can I find some and how do they work?

Lots of questions! thanks!!
