door frame problem

hi guys i have just decorated a room and then discovered that the screws in one of the hinges are not screwing into the frame.....the wood has split, is there any way to fix the frame without affecting the deccorating that i have just done

drill out for a dowel
caefully lever appart rub glue into the crack insert the dowel and clamp together

 

[HERTS P&D]

1. Remove door
2. Dip match sticks in wood glue and push into old screw holes
3. Do this in all holes
4. Leave for 24hrs
5. Cut off excess match sticks
6. Rehang door.
