Downstairs shower: pumped and 15mm pipes or mixer taps and 22mm?

I have a downstairs toilet with hot and cold water fed from CW tank in loft and HW tank in an upstairs bedroom in a pretty standard late 60's house.

Plan is to add shower to downstairs toilet.

Tanks to shower location pipe run is approximately 8m.

Would I get away with A or do I have to do B?:

(A) The easier option. Power shower (pump only does not heat) fed by existing 15mm pipework.

(B) New 22mm pipes installed from tanks feeding mixer tap shower unit.

B is pointless.
A is a good option.

Try a push on shower hose on the existing basin taps to see what you get - you might find the existing 15mm is enough pressure downstairs, assuming cold tank is inloft. This will be at least 4m head - should be enough. Just upgrade all the valves to full bore.
