I need to drill four 110mm holes through the cavity brick walls to install boiler flue, two bathroom vents and a kitchen cooker hood vent. Any ideas as to which type of core bit is best? Prices seem to range from £15 for a TCT one through to £180 for a diamond tipped one.

Any recommendations please.

Will the cheap one do four holes?

And presumably slow speed and water to lubricate/cool the drill bit?

you may be better off hiring a diamond core and drill for the day, it will work out cheaper. The drill is a specialist bit of kit, you will kill a standard drill with core drilling

Definately hire one if you have more than 40mm wastes to do. Not only will it be so much quicker but as ch427 says you'll wreck your drill not to mention break your wrist if you current drill doesn't have a clutch.
