The European Commission has imposed a 1.6 billion Euro fine on computer chipmaker, Intel, "for anticompetitive practices". How can such a corrupt, fraudulent and secretive organisation as the EC, whose own accounts have not been passed by it's own auditors for the past 12 years!!!! sit in judgement and impose such a fine on a foreign company?? If the EC was a privately run company/organisation,, it would have been closed down long ago and it's directors prosecuted for fraud/corruption,,,, and jailed.

an alternative question:

without the EC, the giant multinational would continue to crush competition and drive up prices to the disadvantage of citizens and other manufacturers.

so you are complaining that the EC had the power to stop them.

are you mad?

At least they cant be accused of having a chip on their shoulders

This has nothing to do with having the power. It is more to with the credibility of the organisation (EC),, that imposes it. The EC has little or no credibility. It is seen as corrupt and fraudulent. As Cameron said, it needs massive reform and transparency to restore any trust it might have had.

so you are just grumbling about the EC and your opinion doesn't really have anything to do with the Intel scandal.
