Hi. We have an electric shower upstairs and a combi boiler downstairs. Just installed a brand new shower to solve this problem, but it hasn't!

The pressure is poor and to get a decent heat you need the heat set almost to max and the power level set to II. Sometimes however for no apparent reason hot water will not come out at all, rejuicing the power level to I will usually make hot water come out but in a trickle. This problem usually occurs after another person has just used the shower, but not always! Please help. Would a mixer shower solve this problem?

Sorry to say u made the wrong choice. the combi will give u a good shower with a mixer valve. (use a thermostatic 1) as long as some one doesent open another hot tap while showering. Leave the electric in place incase of boiler failure & fit a mixer valve below.
