engineered wood flooring

Anybody any ideas how (if its possible) to reuse engineered oak floor that as been layed on the adhesive foam underlay. The flooring has to come up to allow work to be done on the original wooden floors of the house. Is it possible to remove the underlay stuck to the back of it or is the fire worth considering?
