Hi

I have piped up a new en-suite with good old copper pipe but now need to ask a question. To bond all of the outlets from shower etc will now be quite difficult as the plasterer beat me to it. My question is therefore this:

If I choose to make the connection [from the en-suite pipework to the existing pipework] via plastic pipes what should the minimum length of plastic pipe be for safety and to avoid the need for equipotential bonding? NB I have the ability to make this 1 metre or possibly 3 metres - 1 metre being the minimum I would consider.

Thanks

The longer the better. But 1m of 15mm tapwater will give you approx 115kohms, so don't bust a gut to make it very long at the cost of dreadful inconvenience...
