I have had a new ring circuit added as part of an extension - all signed off etc - it only has 2 sockets and covers the one room. Can I now extend that ring so that I can re-wire 3 bedrooms - ie are there any limitations as to how much I can extend a ring (total area would be less then 100m2) as a competent but not part p qualified electrician?

thanks

No restrictions, providing you have the competence to do the work. The circuit must be RCD protected. The work should comply with BS7671 and be safe.

not part p qualified electrician
I always wonder about that. Part P is a Building Regulation, not a qualification.
