Extension accross back of house and garage

HI Everyone, total newbie here!

I have a question for all of you in know...
I currently live in a 2 bed semi with attached garage (garage also attached to neighbours garage) and as the family is getting bigger I would prefer to extend rather than move so my idea id to extend out the back of the house 4meters and go the whole width of the house and garage (about 6/7 meters)

My questions are:
1. what are my chances for planning permission
2. How would you go about solving the roof issue that the garage causes.
3. how much is it gonna cost me? 4 meters deep 6 meters wide.

I was thinking of a flat roof for the extention and run the garage roof onto that?

take a look at the attached picture. the garage steps out about 1 meter from the house.

Who knows?

If you use the prior notification scheme, and neither of your neighbours (or anyone to the rear) objects, it would be permitted development and you would not need express planning permission.

If you applied directly for planning permission, an approval would depend on your council's policy on rear extensions.
