We've just bought a new house and would like to build a side and rear single storey extension. However, we've discovered that the main waste water pipe runs behind our property across the gardens of all the houses on our street.
The pipe lies 2.5m behind the back of our house. There are two manholes, one by the kitchen door leading out to the garden and one 2.5m behind the house.
Can anyone advice what we can do to build an extension? If this can be done? And if so, how without damaging the waste water pipe?
