Hi there DM46,

As you know D.Hailsham has been very kindly helping me out with a dilema of mine.

Unfortunately I need one last question answering but sadly he is not online at the moment, and I am kind of stuck in limbo.

Would you be kind enough to answer this question for me ?

"What does the highlighted quote at the bottom of the page mean" ?

Disconnect everything from the junction box including links between terminals and wire up as follows:

JB = Junction Box

Mains Input
Live : JB 1
Neutral: JB 2
Earth: JB 3

Tempus 1
Live: JB 1
Neutral: JB 2
1 Com: Link to Live in the Tempus 1
2 Off: JB 7
3 On : JB 6

HW Thermostat
C: JB 6
1: JB 8
2: JB 7

Digistat
Link JB 1 to JB 4
C: JB 4
On: JB 5

Honeywell Valve
White: JB 5
Grey: JB 7
Blue: JB 2
Green/Yellow: JB 3
Orange: JB 8

Pump
Live: JB 9
Neutral: JB 2
Earth: JB 3

Note: the Pump gets its Live connection from the Boiler PL terminal via JB 9. This in accordance with mfr instructions.
Boiler
Live: JB 1
Neutral: JB 2
Earth: JB 3
Link JB 8 to JB 10
Switched Live (SL): JB 10
Pump Live (PL): JB 9

Many thanks

It just means the boiler runs the pump. Pump live connection from the boiler is terminated at JB9 and pump live (brown wire) is connected to JB9

Hi DP thanks for responding,

I dont have any other wires coming from the boiler to connect to JB9 to make a live connection with the Pump, or doesn't anything connect to it appart from the Pump ?

Sorry for being so dimm, this has been a nightmare from the start, but thanks to everyone on here who have been great & helped me.

Ian

you need an extra wire for the pump live. in total you should have 5 wires going in to the boiler - permanent live, neutral, earth, switch live to the boiler (from the orange wire on your 3 port valve) and a pump live (from your boiler to you pump)

Right ok, so I need to track a new 2 core wire from the Junction box to the boiler for those connections ?

I wish I had the finances to rip the lot out and put a whole new installation in.

Ian

Many thanks for replying
