Faded steel garage door

I have a side hinged steel garage door factory painted in Anthracite.
I'm unsure if it's powder coat finish.
It's starting to fade slightly, mainly on the top third. There is a noticeable difference in depth of colour between the inside and out!
Is there anything which will bring back the colour or do I repaint?
If so can I use normal gloss or should I get it sprayed by a pro?.

I seem to remember bringing a faded garage door back to life with some sort of car polish.

I didn't need to re-paint it, it stayed good for years.
