I am talking the larch lap panels here. One side has more vertical batons than the other. Assuming it is my fence - is there a right and wrong way round to fit? Ta John
the convention is or was that the battens face towards you, so you get the backside of the fence, and this way people knew whose fence it was. In this day and age however people have them the way they want them, so go for whichever side you prefer.
If there public access to the other side of the fence, then put the 'stepped' side inwards, so as to deny any would be intruders a decent foothold when climbing over the fence.
