ferroli boiler

Although Dave has not explained the reason he needs help, I can see why!

The MI say that F7 is a problem with the "delivery sensor" but that term does not appear anywhere else. Like most boilers it has a CH and a DHW sensor and no others.

My best guess is that its actually referring to the flue temp o/h stat but, unless ZK knows, then I think that it will need a call to Ferolli to clarify what they mean by "delivery sensor".

It might be the DHW sensor.

In any case, remove the connector and measure the resistance of the Ch and the DHW sensors.

They should be the same value within 10% and probably around 13k.

Tony

if one of those were at fault would we still have either dhw or heating
in this case both dhw and heating is inop

It all depends on how the boiler is designed!

Some do and some dont!

Most need the CH sensor for both functions. Some will run CH if the DHW one is faulty.

As I said, measure the resistances !!!

Tony

ok just had a look could it be the high limit stat this was corroded slighty
is this normal

It might be, but again you have to measure the continuity.

You cannot expect to fix a boiler without some simple testing!

Tony

measured resistance with the connectors off one is open circuit its the flow valve
is this supposed to be like this
