filling gap between the lintel

hi could anyone tell me what I can use and what to do to fill the gap between the lintels as I want to put blinds in the reveal there is approx 1 inch tapered gap between the lintels this is on nine inch blockwork
oh yeah this is a non liverball room e.g shed

why not dab plasterboard onto the lintels thus covering the lintels as well as the gap?

what material do you use to dot & dab plasterboard?

metal lintels? gripfill perhaps -for thin bed

Drywall adhesive and plasterboard. The adhesive sticks to anything, even metal lintels.
