look at the meter and service fuse area. and look for an earth rod connected to the MET or consumer unit. why do you ask?

the only reason i ask is because i was with someone who was testing last week and i know how the system are set up and work but it was just a general quire.

cheers

TT has earth rod. Not always an overhead supply. In Staffs there are 1000's of underground TT supplies.

PME has earth from cut-out. BUT an earth from the cut-out is not always PME, it may be TN-S, where the earth comes from sheath, enters the cut-out and joins to the earth terminal in the cut-out (which on TN-S is not linked to neutral).
