hi all
i have a small 2nd floor shop which i want to extend into the next room which has a lath and plaster ceiling that i want to put downlights in.the electrician said cannot put downlights in due to fire risk ,my solution would be to cut out large holes of about 500mm where i want the lights over board the ceiling with 9.5mm plasterboard
this is to save time, dust, noise and access is a right pain
what i was wondering is would this comply with building/fire regs on a commercial building
