I know I may sound stupid but I have never fitted washing machine hoses or the like.

I have bought the extension for the drainage hose as it was too short.

I am fitting it to the hole (where other tube was) on the left under my sink. Can anyone help me?

Am I supposed to put the plastic 'U' bend thing on the tube so that the bends upswards preventing any water that goe down the sink hole from travelling into the main part of the drainage tube?

please excuse my complete ignorance regarding this!

it's this machine: AEG L16850

I think you mean that you are connecting your washer waste to your sink waste & you should not need the u-bend as the water from the sink should fall into the trap without feeding back into the washer hose, just ensure that the washer hose flange is entering the waste in a downward direction, but it will not do any harm if you already have fitted it.

Yes!!! that is what I mean! Thankyou....I was going mad as I just don't know anything about this at all. I finally received my extension and connector kit and can only pray that I fit it correctly!

Thank you
