Hi All,

Just require a little help installing a TLX 7501 to replace my old Satchwell dial that has died. Got 2 wires coming outof the wall, one red one black. I spoke to Sunvic who said to get this thermostat as it doesnt require a neutral.

Hopefully you should see a pic of the wiring diagram above, can anyone help me out with which wire goes where?

Cheers in advance[/img]

the common (probably red) wire that goes live when c/h turned on on programmer.
the other goes to 2.

Put the wires into '3' & '2'. (Common & On)

On of the two wires at your old stat will be live when the Time Clock(Programmer) comes on in Heating mode.
The other wire becomes live when the wall stat is turned up (creating a demand) sending power to the boiler to switch it on.

So put the red one in number 3 and the black one in number 2.

Remember to pull the fuse first and check the wires are dead first.

Safety first!

Thanks a lot people, much appreciated - yeah I plan on switching the electrics off before I start.

It doesn't matter which way round they go.

Just 2 and 3.

Not much scope for error there, me thinks
