Hi all. I need some advice on how to fit a bath mixer please.

I'm a self-builder, finishing a bathroom myself.

My plumber has left me with 2 x 1/2 inch threaded outlets in the wall, around which I've tiled.

He's supplied 2 x 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch S-shaped inlet connectors. They're 'cranked' so that you can adjust the gap/level of the taps.

Onto those, we plan to fit a Grohe mixer unit, which has 3/4 inch nuts.

My question is - how do you screw the 1/2 inch thread into the 1/2 inch socket so it won't leak? It's just a metal thread into a metal thread.

There was a fibre washer in the box, but it seems to be the wrong size to fit into the hole.

Grateful for a steer please. Thanks, M.
