I have just started my own property company and have had request to replace some windows.
I am not fensa reg nor do i intend to be as i may get 3 houses a year to do,
How hard is it to get Building control to pass it off and what do they look for
Do i have to apply or the owner,
i live in Bradford any experiences.
The windows will be upvc and k glass and made by a fensa company

No problem at all if it's done correctly.

.....and what do they look for.....

A large cheque.

Do i have to apply or the owner, .....

It's the owners responsibility, but I think you would have to make it part of the job, at least that way you get to know BC.

Who makes them is irrelevant. They have to comply.

Thanks for that how much do the dick turpins take and are there guides as to how to fix - i have fit huggins but I assume they are to spec but are they

I think its about £75 per house regardless of how many frames.

Check on the Fensa website for guides, loads of info.

I fit for a fensa registered company, but if I get any private, weekend work I am not fensa registered. I just tell the customer this beforehand. It is always the responsibility of the homeowner to obtain a certificate.
