Any tips as to how I should go about fixing the last two widths of oak t & G floor against a wall? Have been using a porta nailer but now unable to strike the piston because I almost against the wall. Is an idea to glue the second to last boards, hand nail, screw and then nail over the last boards where the skirting board will cover them?

Might be a good idea to counter drill the boards and screw then plug them with some oak plugs cut from an offcut ???

You can get a face nailing attatchment for the portanailer but if it is on hire you will struggle.

You can strip the nails (from protanailer) into singles, hammer them in and punch them home, leaving a very neat slot that you can fill.
