Hi. I live an old end of terrace house with a ton of air bricks down the side, air gaps and inch round under the doors (front & back) and fancy air bricks under the windows (again front and back). I have a mouse problem every winter and thought by using stainless steel soffit mesh over the aforementioned bits I could keep the blighters out. My question is how best to fix the mesh to the wall ensuring a tight fit and not be to obtrusive? The bits under the doors are wood, the side bricks and the windows concrete.

That's not very useful; the whole area is infested - our local shop runs out of mousetraps on a regular basis.

I was thinking of a washer behind a screw, the soffit fittings I've found are miles too large for my purposes.
