floor tile spacing

hello, can anyone give me advice on ceramic floor tiling spacing. what are the pros and cons of butting the tiles together would it look odd or is it an acceptable practice. cheers

Don't do it. You'll neeed to make sure your floor is dead flat or the slightest irregularity will show by the tile corners kicking up. Also, tiles are not always exactly the same size - butt jointing will show these fact by the gaps between the tiles stepping out.
The only benefit is that you won't grout.
I wouldn't do it if I was asked. You should think twice.
 
Butt joints look awful on many types of tiles ,as gcol says they can look not level....;)
 
How wide a space between 330mm^ floor ceramic tiles?

Also how deep should the cement be?

thanks for your replies, my next question was going to be what the best spacing would be but thats already been asked.
