Hi
i am in need of some advice I had some chipped floor ties so thought the best bet was to paint them. I thought they were a slate tile as they have that look but am starting to doubt that.
I used diamond hard by ronseal it looked great but after a short while its started to come away.
Particularly in wet areas see photo by sink. My question should I give it another go but Unibond it first or just take it all off, that would be fun.
I followed the instruction’s on the tin but when I went back to B&Q I waited to talk to someone for advice but along came a 12 year old kid who just read the tin? Thanks for any help you can give

What kind of tiles are they?
I believe that floor paint is for use on porous surfaces. If it's a glossy tile the paint will just sit on the surface.

You would need to use a tile/laminate bonding primer first.

Thanks for the replay that may well be it as it did have a porous surface. While they looked like slate I dont think they are I think they are ceramic.
I will give it a try as its driving me nuts
thanks again

No problem. Sometimes you will find, even with some stone/slate tiles they have a hard clear coat to protect them. Best of luck.
Let me know how u get on.
