This manifold was installed 6 months ago as part of an underfloor heating system in a new build. The water is very discoloured as can be seen. Is this normal please when the system has been running a few months ?

Maybe an algae growth. Was a biocide inhibitor pumped into the system?

Yes, I seem to remember the plumber saying something about that. Is this something that is seen on a regular basis or do I need to be worried about it ? Thank you for your answer.

Is that an addition to an existing system or was the whole system a new installation? Discoloured water occurs through electrolytic reaction in the system, and wont do the system any favours.... Inhibitor will prevent the corrosion, but if the system is already dirty then it needs cleaning and refilling prior to adding inhibitor.

The correct dose of inhibitor should remain in the system indefinately provided it's not diluted by frequent topping up, or the system is drained.
