Hi All,

I have a Sime Super 102 combi boiler. It was fitted when the house was built 4 years ago.

In the last couple of weeks it has decided that to get hot water, you need to turn on the hot tap to maximum before heating the water.

This is OK (not good, but OK) except for the thermostatic mixer shower. The temperature on the shower needs to be set to maximum to get the boiler to fire up, and then when you set the required temp, the boiler shuts down.

I suspect something like the hot water flow detection valve thingie is stuck.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Neil
