I have a V reg ford fiesta with 38,500 miles on the clock. The "springiness" has gone in the gearbox and now requires more precise gearchanging. I was told (by another forum) that it was the "detent" spring that had gone. When I asked how I could replace it I drew a blank. Does anyone now how to replace it or how much it would cost to be repaired at a garage?? Hope you can help.
