My petrol level doesn't seem to be going down apparently which is rather nice but i think its because the gauge is sticking.

Is there anything I can do to fix it?

TIA

Does the gauge move when you turn the ignition off (has it ever)? Which make/model vehicle?

Hi Sp

It a Honda Civic and it goes to 0 when you turn off the ignition.

Sods law says it has gone down a little now but it should be a lot lower with the mileage I have done.

I have a Peugeot that suffers from an apparently sticking fuel gauge, but it's not the gauge!
The problem is the fuel level sender inside the fuel tank, once I know for certain I have covered more miles than what the gauge is showing.
A few emergency stops (making sure there is no one behind) gets the fuel sloshing in the tank, and the gauge then drops to where it should be, you may have something similar.
