Hi,

I'm still having issues with the front bedroom getting cold at the front of the house, if you look at the picture it is directly below where the gable end is.. I got in the loft last night and it looks like it is just brick then a slab of insulation.. whereas the side gables are brick, insulation and breeze block.

Is this okay ? Could it be the reason for the cold room ?

Thanks

Mark

That insulation on the inner gable suggests timber framed walls, but either way its a bit odd for it to be visible like that.

If not timber framed, or if that gable is not formed properly at ceiling level, then there could be air leakage from the cavity or from the void behind the dry-lined walls causing walls to be colder than they should be.

When rooms feel cold, with no obvious reasons but several possibilities, and if heating has been sized correctly, and if it's not just a case pf personal subjective opinion, then the only practical way to investigate is by using a thermal camera on a cold day or night to detect any cold areas in the structure.
