Hi there, I have a Gainsborough Ambassador shower (Round type, not bar) that is fed from a shower pump under the bath. Now, more often than not, the shower (pump) fails to turn off. It is worth noting that this has happened before but found it to be the actual shower head was slightly blocked which stopped the pump from turning off.
The new problem is not that because whilst in the shower, I have unscrewed the shower head and still doesn't turn off. After some vigorous turning of the Gainsborough shower knob, it will switch off most of the time.
My question is, could this be the cartridge (Aqualisa) that's at fault? Bear in mind that it's the original cartridge that was fitted about 18 years ago!
Thanks.
Steve
