Can Anyone help
I have a galaxy g7000 electric shower. When the small knob for the pressure switch assembly is turned to the two red marks it`s trips the RCD, if I turn the small knob to the single red line it works ok, but obviously a lot colder.
Thanks

i would say you have a blown heating element in the heating can.
use a multi meter to check the heating elements for resistance.

isolate the shower main power and test each pair of elements you want a reading of between about 10 -18 ohms.

Thanks for your response
I`ve tested the resistence which appears to be ok one 12.2 ohms the other 17.2.
Anything else I can check?
Thanks

are any of the the wires blackened
as i've had this on a 4000 and one of the lives to the heating elements was sorting on the neutral.

you can also check what heating element works on the first setting and disconnect the second element then turn your control dial to the 2 mark
and if the shower doesn't blow then the dial control is ok and it is the element shorting to earth.

with them two readings i suspect one is on its last legs.
check if the lower reading one is the 2 mark element.
