GARD against Thames Water

If you are a Thames Water bill payer I'm just letting you know that next month a Public Inquiry is taking place in Oxford to sort out the whole debackle about the management of water in their region. TW want a reservoir but the analysis by them has been, at times, distorted to favour this approach.

GARD the pressure group against the development has been doing a David and Goliath job for an alternative method and has forced this enquiry to take place, which for a couple of people is an amazing achievement.

TW where allowed over 30 million pounds of bill payers money to get the planning permission. GARD were given nothing to fight against it but through the help of private individuals they were able to bring the debate to the Government to get the enquiry.

Take a look at the information and please show support for GARD's proposal because TW which is owned by an Australian Financiers, have only their own financial interests in mind.

Hope you butt **** them. Too many unelected public bodies who think they are here to control US, and losing sight of the fact they are PUBLIC SERVANTS and in fact here to do as there told by US!!!

There are several public bodies involved in this issue, such as OFWAT, Environment Agency etc., and they in varing degrees have shown incompitence. Hence the need for the public enquiry. If Thames Water had set out from the beginning the correct path of water sustainability, giving all the ways this could be done, using facts that were later found to be incorrect or suspect. That the public bodies involved had not been led down the garden path by Thames Water then the enquiry would have not been required.
The point is, this enquiry is going to last 4-5 weeks and will cost possibly millions of pounds. It will be paid for by tax payers or TW customers, all because public somebody didn't do their job right.

FFS people need water and TW are trying to ensure supplies. I hate nimbys who are only interested in themselves.

5 or 10 years and they'll have all the water they can handle.. it'll be underwater by then won't it?
