Hey friends - have a Miele gas hob where one of the ignition sparks is cracked close to the base of the ceramic and is sparking thru the crack rather than at the top of the igniter (and as such, not catching the gas). Is this something that can be solved with the addition of some high temp epoxy superglue or something similar in the crack ? Thanks

Try dribbling down the side of the electrode inside the ceramic insulator. Never seen it done but it's probably worth a try. You can't make it any worse as long as you don't glue the whole assembly to the hob and can replace it in the event you need to replace it.
