Gas Isolation Valves Access

Hello. Had someone over last week who said that the gas isolation valve at the flat are not in a great position and could do with a new access panel. It turns alright but it's a bit of an awkward angle. Is the current situation acceptable if the handle is reasonably useable?

If it’s ok to turn off then no problem but it should fall to off yours falls to on
