Hi all. Great site, lots of good advice and info on here, but can't find anything about this problem.

When the weather is really cold the gas supply to the house cuts off. I can reset it by pushing the button out next to the meter (on the regulator?). It might be fine for a few hours before cutting out again, depending on weather. It happened last winter, then was fine all year, now its doing it again.

What could be causing this and who do I call to sort it out? Do I need someone to come and look at the boiler?. It's an Icos HE12 if that makes a difference

Thanks in advance.

Is this mains gas or LPG?
LPG and freezing weather don't go together so wrap it up and keep it warm.
If it's mains gas phone BG.

Just a thought, I assumed it was LPG and the UPSO was tripping out.

Could be the supply pipe is undersized and you are using more gas than the pipe can deliver, so you get and under pressure situation.

Has any work been done prior to the problem, a larger boiler etc for example.

Thanks for the reply. It's mains gas. The house is only 4 years old, nothing changed in that time.
