Gas Meter - Ventilation

We have a gas meter within the front porch of the house.

Beside it is a 4" hole through the single brick wall to the outside.

We ask -

a) Does the gas meter require ventilation to the outside?
b) If so, what size hole is minimum?

No it doesn't. You can block it (unless it is there for another purpose)
