Our gas supply enters our property through the sitting room wall then runs under the suspended floorboards ( it's a 1905 mid-terrace house) to the boiler.
The gas supply pipe is the yellow 1/2? plastic coated type. Where a T joint has been inserted to supply the sitting-room coal-effect fire, the pipe going to the fire is just 'normal' copper pipe with a couple of soldered joints in it.

My question is the coal-effect fire supply pipe is not clipped or secured to anything but laid on some waste stone/brick to give a level run.
Should I be concerned by this?

We have just moved in, prior to us the property was a rental and the gas & electric certificates are all up to date.
Thanks
Rich

If the supply pipe is only 1/2" then its probably severely undersized.

It would be sensible to get an RGI to do a service and check the gas pressures.

Plastic coated pipe is very expensive but good for avoiding corrosion which can occur if copper pipe is touching anything damp.
