I want to install some glass shelves in the bathroom but am having bad luck sourcing the glass. First glazer i left measurements with twice for a phone quote and twice they failed to get back. Popped into a local today and was quoted a ball park £20 per shelf which seemed crazy steep to me. I did have a very local glazier who would do you great prices on small pieces with little (in fact it might have been none) markup for toughening but it shut down (maybe thats why!).
Anyway.. pieces in question are all trangular approx 350 on adjacent.. 150 on opposite with the corners notched off to leave a 10mm measurement on that edge. 4mm toughened/ground. Shouldnt be anywhere near so expensive for a few small pieces should it? 7 pieces total.. if i cut them myself would i be able to take them somewhere for toughening/grinding? Would that save much?
