Gloworm Compact 80E - Lockout problem

I have a Gloworm Compact 80 e Combi Boiler.

And i find occationally when in the shower the water suddenly goes cold, when i go downstairs to inspect the boiler i find the Boiler lockout light is flashing, i then need to press the button in and the light goes off and the hot water returns. This started happening recently and is becoming more and more frequent. It is driving me mad!!! PLEASE HELP!

I only have basic DIY skills, so any help would be greatly apprieciated

Get in BG for a fixed price repair £170 or take out a contract with them with the cost of the breakdown included.

All the stuff that could be wrong requires you to be a corgi man to check it.

Could be as simple as a blocked plate hE.

But even that would need considerable DIY skills in my view.

One of that model I went to had screws into the plate HE totally seized up. I had to chemically treat it in situ.
